In addition to playing music, Rusty also records music (and non-music).
He began recording in his childhood, making radio shows with his brothers and sisters, as well as singing along with Disney songs with his sister, always recording something. His Fisher Price tape recorder taught him a lot.
His first serious recordings began in 1989 with the DUSKBUSTERS! radio show with Noby Nobriga, and in 1990 with the recordings of the band 'nikcuS with Noby Nobriga and Kevin Young, and then recording by himself in 1996 with his band The Mnemonic Devices. These music recordings eventually lead to Rusty forming his own studio, Love and Letters Music.
