Charming British chap.
Four Weddings and a Funeral
(1994) -- I don't remember this movie completely rocking my world or anything,
but I think I was as charmed by it (and Hugh Grant) as you are supposed to be.
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005) -- I'd almost
given up on watching any more of the series after the third one, and the first
twenty minutes or so of this one didn't seem too promising either. It was
just kind of confusing. But then the whole tournament idea started up and
the movie got better, even if it didn't do anything incredibly special. But it didn't do anything incredibly stupid either, and the simple plots
(including the "who will take Hermione to the dance" kind of stuff) were fun
enough to watch. (See Alfonso Cuarón for
the predecessor, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. See
David Yates for the sequel, Harry Potter and
the Order of the Phoenix.)
