Devil's
Playground (2002) -- This documentary shows a handful of Amish kids during "Rumspringa,"
a time when teens can experience the real world to see if they prefer it and its
evil, technological ways or the Amish church. Of course, the film seems to
give a skewed view, since it focuses on kids who would have been troubled
whether they were Amish or not (getting addicted to drugs, etc.) rather than the
majority who just "go nuts" by listening to the radio or whatever, but it's
still an interesting movie and raises one or two questions about parenting and
repression.
