My Date with Drew (2003) -- Directed with Jon Gunn and Brett Winn. Really sweet, cute, funny, charming documentary about a guy (Brian Herzlinger) who chronicles his 30-day attempt to get a date with celebrity crush Drew Barrymore. Herzlinger makes the movie work with how likeable he is, and the movie carries with it a lot of energy both from his personality and the fun and speedy editing job. The movie might not have the same result in watching it the second time, but the first time is great. B
