Comedy screenwriter.
Cabin Boy (1994) -- This movie was promising. I've always liked Chris Elliot, from his days on David Letterman to his pretty cool Get a Life TV show, and this movie gave him a starring role, gave Letterman a cameo, featured other talk show legend (in my mind anyway) Andy Richter, and actually began pretty funny. Then as it went on, the movie just lost steam (seems to happen with these types of movies--see Dragnet) and loses all the goofy absurdist humor that made it funny at the beginning. Watch it if you want to behold a potential cult favorite devolving into a typical bad movie. C
